COOKIE EXCHANGE & UGLY SWEATER CONTEST
Dec. 14 at 2:00 pm at Jenn Durkee’s home. PLEASE NOTE: All women are welcome to attend for fellowship, coffee, and to munch some cookies! HOWEVER, IF YOU WANT TO TAKE HOME COOKIES/BARS IN THE EXCHANGE, you must RSVP to Susie Grupp no later than Nov. 30th. [This is so that everyone knows how many cookies or bars to make and has time to make them… and they do NOT have to be elaborately decorated Christmas cookies/bars—bake any of your favorite kind.]
GUIDELINES:
>> Make a half-dozen cookies for each attendee who signed-up for cookies/bars.
>> Prepackage your cookies in separate containers for each attendee.
>> ALSO, bring one dozen extra for us to eat while we are “socializing”!
>> And remember… if you don’t RSVP, you may still come; and please do – you just can’t take any cookies home… BUT, you can eat some while you are there!
If you have a special memory about your cookies and would like to share it, please write it out and place it on the cookie table.
If you would like to share your recipe, please get it to Susie Grupp at least one week prior to the event (so by Dec 7). We will have them typed up and make copies for everyone.
ALSO, we’ll be having our first annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest! So please find the tackiest, ugliest sweater and wear it. There will be a trophy for the winner. GRIN. And everyone please wear your sweater to church the next morning. The winner will get an honorable mention in the service. Yes, it’s corny, but… fun!
